DEH Health and Unified Program Permit Fees

Notice of Cost Recovery Adjustment

The Department of Environmental Health (DEH) brought forward proposed fee adjustments to the Board of Supervisors for consideration in March 2017. San Diego County Board of Supervisors policy B-29 requires DEH to be full cost recovery. DEH last adjusted fees in 2010, and since then the department has focused on how to offset rising costs by gaining operational efficiencies, leveraging technology to streamline work, and implementing business re-engineering projects.

New Fees in Effect as of July 1, 2017

The San Diego Board of Supervisors approved most of DEH's cost recovery proposal; unapproved items are marked as TBD (To Be Determined). Please contact the Department at (858) 505-6700 or via email if you have questions about the updated list of fees. As of July 1, 2017, assessed fees will be as shown in the column entitled Fiscal Year (FY1718) 2017-2018.
