The County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) Public Health Services is proud to annually present the Live Well San Diego Public Health Champion Awards. These awards recognize extraordinary achievements, by an individual and organization, in areas of public health services that protect and promote the health of San Diego County residents.

The awards were created to recognize the role of public/private collaboration in advancing optimal health and wellness in the County’s diverse populations (For information on the award recipients from this year’s event, click here).

This year’s theme award again will recognize achievements related to the 2016 National Public Health Week’s (NPHW) theme:  “Healthiest Nation 2030 – Let’s make America the healthiest nation in one generation.”  Visit the NPHW website for a full description of the daily themes. They embody the vision of Live Well San Diego and the County’s strategic mission. A brief description of these daily themes includes the following:

Live Well San Diego 2016 Public Health Champion Award

The Live Well San Diego Public Health Champion Awards is the County’s annual signature event for National Public Health Week, which this year is April 4-10, 2016. The date of the 2016 Awards Ceremony is scheduled for April 8, 2016, 1:00-3:00 p.m., at the County Administration Center, 1600 Pacific Highway, Room 310.

All nomination materials must be submitted no later than Monday, February 29, 2016.
