County Supervisor Dianne Jacob, San Diego County Library, and the Alpine Library Friends Association are proud to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new Alpine Branch Library. The new library will measure 12,700 square feet, more than four times the size of the current facility. Expected to open in spring 2016, the state-of-the-art Zero Net Energy library will feature a greatly expanded materials collection, large children's area, teen and tweens spaces, wireless internet and a computer lab, and more.
