The spring series of the San Diego County Library Acoustic Showcase begins in March with eight concerts taking place throughout the month!

The Acoustic Showcase series offers a wonderful variety of some of San Diego's very best singer/songwriters, folk music performers, and story tellers. These concerts are FREE to the community.

Sunday, March 1  -  2 p.m.
Fallbrook Branch
 
Never one to follow convention, Nathan James
has created a unique musical identity with his homemade instruments and self-taught skills.
Peter Sprague
Saturday, March 14  -  2 p.m.
Poway Branch
 
Peter Sprague is a San Diego-based jazz guitarist, composer, arranger, recording engineer, producer, and life-long surfer.
KEV
Sunday, March 15  -  1:30 p.m.
Vista Branch
 
KEV is a San Diego-based harpguitarist and fingerstyle acoustic guitarist whose music is a fiery blend of slapping, tapping, picking, and plucking that defies any specific genre.
Virtual Strangers
Tuesday, March 17  -  6:30 p.m.
Lemon Grove Branch
 
The Virtual Strangers' sound is a mixture of traditional, Stanley, Monroe, and Flatt & Scruggs material with more progressive material from Blue Highway, Lonesome River Band, and some Del McCoury.

Shirthouse Band

The Shirthouse Bluegrass Band specializes in playing many styles of music, including gospel, folk, and rock, while still maintaining that great bluegrass sound.

With roots firmly in bluegrass, Prairie Sky borrows from all musical genres, from rock to swing, old-time string music from Ireland and the Americas, and some great original material thrown into the mix.
