The fall series of the San Diego County Library Acoustic Showcase continues in October with eight concerts taking place throughout the month!

The Acoustic Showcase series offers a wonderful variety of some of San Diego's very best singer/songwriters, folk music performers and story tellers. These concerts are FREE to the community.
The Lovebirds
Sunday, October 5  -  2 p.m.
Fallbrook Branch
 
A live performance by The Lovebirds is a tornado of sights and sounds, which may include short skirts, high heels, bowties, mustaches, percussive guitar, rock ukulele, glockenspiel, melodica, kazoos, stand-up drumkits, and harmonies that won't quit.
Cleopatra Degher 
Tuesday, October 7  -  6:30 p.m.
Rancho San Diego Branch
 
Wednesday, October 8  -  6 p.m.
Encinitas Branch
 
Cleopatra Degher's contemporary folk sensibilities, along with something fresh in her serene and haunting voice, ensure that her music resides securely in the present, even if the ghosts of Laurel Canyon and the Dustbowl do make frequent appearances.
Red Moon Road

Poway Branch
  
Red Moon Road is Canada's most energetic and endearing folk trio, offering masterful storytelling, haunting three-part harmonies, and a lush and lively take on modern roots.
Coco & Lafe
Wednesday, October 15  -  6 p.m.
San Marcos Branch
 
Coco & Lafe's live performances feature their songwriting and tight harmonies; Lafe's fingerpicking, harmonica playing, and humor; and the obvious connection they share.
Shirthouse Band
Saturday, October 18  -  2 p.m.
El Cajon Branch
  
The Shirthouse Bluegrass Band specializes in many styles of music, including gospel, folk, and rock, while still maintaining that great bluegrass sound.

Old Town Road 
Sunday, October 19  -  1:30 p.m.
Vista Branch
     
Old Town Road performs traditional, contemporary, and original bluegrass music featuring the five string banjo, fiddle and dobro backed up by guitar and bass.

Peter Sprague 
Tuesday, October 21  -  6:30 p.m.
Lemon Grove Branch
