The spring series of the San Diego County Library Acoustic Showcase continues in May with nine concerts taking place throughout the month!
The Acoustic Showcase series offers a wonderful variety of some of San Diego's very best singer/songwriters, folk music performers, and story tellers. These concerts are FREE to the community.
Friday, May 1 - 11 a.m.
Ross Moore is a singer-songwriter rooted in traditional folk music, with an extensive catalog of original music.
Presented by the Del Mar Rose Society
Adler & Blackburn
Sunday, May 3 - 2 p.m.
Vocalist Robin Adler and her husband, multi-instrumentalist Dave Blackburn, perform fresh arrangements of well-known Joni Mitchell standards and tackle some of the most challenging material from the later jazz period in Mitchell's career.
Saturday, May 9 - 2 p.m.
Peggy Watson's smooth, emotional voice effortlessly moves between contemporary folk stylings, smokey jazz, or powerful pop ballads. She is a fine songwriter/guitarist who moves her audience from tears to laughter with her relevant and touching songs.
Wednesday, May 13 - 6 p.m.
Sunday, May 17 - 1:30 p.m.
Take well-crafted lyrics that powerfully portray the social and emotional elements of the human condition, and wrap those words in warm, lively acoustic melodies, and you have Bill Hartwell.

Del Mar Branch
Rusty Gait is a San Diego North County band focused on bluegrass, Western swing and old time music. Their eclectic set list delights with foot-tapping rhythms and long-forgotten lyrics to fiddle tunes.
