The County Parks and Recreation Department offers more than two dozen local parks around San Diego County. Nearly all of these neighborhood parks offer playgrounds, lawns, and picnic areas.

If you’re looking for a place to host that special celebration, one of these local parks may be right for you.

Remember that availability is on a first come, first serve basis. Go to  the Find A Park page to see a list of our local parks. Note that some parks are alcohol free.

Eighteen of our County Parks have special reservable picnic areas for those special occasions. From company picnics, wedding receptions, or large family reunions, to birthday parties or team building events, we have a park for you.

  • The reservable areas can accommodate from 50 to 2,500 people depending on the park.
  • Each area offers picnic tables, benches, and barbecues.
  • Many parks offer a covered pavilion with electrical outlets, a serving counter, and a large barbecue stove.
  • Reservations are available up to a year in advance.

Please visit our day-use availability page to find a site that will suit your special event needs. Then, call our reservation desk at 877-565-3600 to reserve your spot.
