Live Oak Park has long been the cornerstone of Fallbrook. First inhabited by Native Americas, the park is an oak tree forest that begs visitors to enjoy its beauty under the sprawling canopy of its massive oaks. The park is ideal for picnicking, strolling and sharing time with family and friends. Live Oak has a beautiful setting for special events such as weddings, family reunions, and group activities. The park is also home to woodpeckers, hawks and songbirds that swoop between the ancient oaks.

Dog Leash-free Area:

At the corner of Reche Rd and Gird Rd the park has a 3,000 square foot leash-free area for dogs and humans to play and socialize.  The area is open Thursday through Monday from 8:00 am to sunset. Closed on December 25. The area is complete with a parking lot, restroom, tables, benches, pet waste stations, trash receptacles and drinking fountains for both dogs and their owners.  A maximum of four dogs per owner are allowed.  Rules and regulations are posted on two kiosks at the entrance of the leash free area.  There is a $3.00 per vehicle day use fee, or an annual pass can be purchased at the park office for $25.00.  In the event of rain, the area will not open for a minimum of 24 hours.
