Palomar Mt. County Park is a 4-acre day use park. It's a great place to come and enjoy a day in the mountains any time of the year.

During the winter months the park may offer a fun filled day in the snow. The park is also a wonderful escape from the heat in the summer months. Shady conifer trees dot the park and support a wide variety of bird wildlife such as woodpeckers and raptors.

Picnic tables are scattered throughout the park providing quiet places to enjoy the fresh mountain air and enjoy the views. From the park you can also see the historic Palomar Mountain Observatory in the nearby State Park. A vault restroom is near the picnic area and there's a small parking lot.

During harsh weather the park made not be accessible due to road and safety conditions on South Grade Road.
