Aging & Independence Services (AIS)

Call the AIS Call Center at (800) 339-4661 for further assistance

Description:

  • Pick-up and home-delivered meals are available for those 60+ for a suggested donation

  • When meals are available, no senior will be turned away for inability to donate

  • Home-delivered meals are delivered Mon – Fri, and between 5-7 meals are provided

  • Please contact your nearest site for meal service information, hours, and options

  • Program that delivers meals to individuals at home who are unable to purchase or prepare their own meals

Mama’s Kitchen

Description:

  • Home Delivered Meal Program is designed for individuals that have been diagnosed with a critical illness and are unable to independently prepare their own meals

  • A referral form must be completed by a medical case manager, medical social worker or provider (MD, NP, PA, RD, RN or LCSW)

Description:

  • If you are over 65, live in San Diego, and need necessities, fill out the form at the bottom of the home page or call the phone number provided

  • This service uses donations from GoFundMe to purchase basic food and supplies, which are then delivered to the homes of elderly individuals throughout San Diego

  • Deliveries are dropped off on doorsteps, no face-to-face interaction needed

     

ElderHelp

Jewish Family Service of San Diego

  • Foodmobile program will continue to deliver home-delivered meals with implementation of medical/safety protocol

  • For those in crisis, Jewish Family Services will be distributing pre-bagged food during designated drive-thru hours as part of the Corner Market and Emergency Food Assistance program
