Waterfront Park, 1600 Pacific Highway, San Diego
September is National Recovery Month and a time to celebrate those on the recovery journey and to recognize those who support them.
In our continuing effort to increase awareness and decrease the stigma associated with mental health and substance use disorders, the Health and Human Services Agency for the County of San Diego is proud to host Recovery Happens. This free, family-friendly event promotes the shared benefits of prevention and treatment and provides resources not only for those in recovery, but anyone in the community looking for resources for themselves or others.
This year, the event has moved to the Waterfront Park and will connect the participants to an array of resources including: education information, employment support, Veteran’s services, financial and legal services, free HIV and Hepatitis C screenings, prevention and treatment information, community resources and more.
