Tobacco Sales Regulations in the Unincorporated Area of San Diego County

On January 28, 2020, County of San Diego Board of Supervisors approved an ordinance establishing restrictions related to tobacco sales and distribution within the unincorporated area of San Diego County. You will find more detailed information and definitions in the resources below, which include frequently asked questions and a fact sheet.

Ordinance restrictions include the following:

  • The sale or distribution of flavored smoking products is prohibited.
  • The sale or distribution of electronic smoking devices is prohibited until February 28, 2021, or an earlier date, dependent on the results of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s ongoing vaping illness investigation.
