About the Air Purifier Pilot Program

In response to the ongoing Tijuana River Valley sewage crisis, on June 4, 2024, the County Board of Supervisors allocated $100,000 in funding to provide free air purifies to homes in areas affected by ambient odors. 

In August 2024, the County coordinated registrations throughout the eligible area (see map below) and a randomized drawing from the registration pool to identify participants in the pilot program. The drawing took place on August 14, 2024 and participants will be notified by August 16, 2024.
