Meet the Director: Jack Pellegrino
Jack Pellegrino has over 39 years of government contracting and procurement experience working with diverse teams of contracting, procurement, and pricing staff in both the public and private sectors supporting government business. Prior to joining the County as the Director of Purchasing and Contracting, Jack held executive positions with Fortune 500 companies, leading the contracting, procurement, and pricing organizations.
From 2002 to 2006 Jack served as the County Deputy Director for the Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA), Contracts Support Division, during which time he developed and implemented best-practice contract formation and monitoring techniques to ensure contracting accountability.
Jack is a Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO), Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), and a Fellow designated by the National Contract Management Association (NCMA). He is Board Member for the California Association of Public Procurement Officials (CAPPO), and a member of NIGP: The Institute for Public Procurement.
Jack holds a degree in Economics; and a Master of Science degree in Procurement and Acquisition Management. He has also earned an Advanced Specialization in Government Contract Management from UCLA.
