Thank you to all our Earth Day 2021 contest participants! We were thrilled to see your drawings of plastic pollution, your documentation of plastic pollution utilizing the Global Earth ChallengeTM app, and your efforts to clean up plastic pollution in your local community! Here are our Earth Day 2021 contest winners:

Contest #1

Congratulations to Mnium & Emiliano (Age 9) for drawing plastic pollution in their community! Their illustrations show that we should always keep an eye out for plastic pollution in our community and help keep our County clean!

Contest #2

Congratulations to Skyler (Age 7) & Avery (Age 9) for documenting the most plastic pollution in their community using the Global Earth ChallengeTM app! Their entries will help scientists and organizations identify where plastic pollution really is.

Honorable Mention:

This year's Earth Day 2021 honorable mention goes out to Dagny (Age 8) for the drawing titled "Keep the Sea Free of Debris". This drawing shows different types of plastic pollution that can be found in California's coastal waters including plastic bags, straws, cups, utensils, and bottles. Dagny points out that sea turtles often mistake plastic bags to be their favorite food - jellyfish! Thanks Dagny, for showing us why we need to keep our ocean free from plastic pollution.
