About the Fire Marshal

The County Fire Marshal Program is part of the Community Risk Reduction Division in San Diego County Fire. The Fire Marshal is responsible for the following programs and services for properties in the San Diego County Fire Protection District and Deer Springs Fire Protection District: 

Proposed development project and plan review 

Visit Submit building and discretionary plans to Fire Marshal. 

Fire protection systems plan review  

Visit Submit fire protection systems plans to Fire Marshal. 

Inspections 

Visit Fire safety inspections for businesses and other facilities. 

Licensing and Event Permit Review 

• San Diego County Sheriff’s Department Licensing and Permits 
• County of San Diego Department of Environmental Health and Quality Community Event Permits
