This page is your starting point to understand how the County buys and how you find opportunities.

Get started

The County’s BuyNet website is where we manage much of the business with us.

We use BuyNet to:

  • Post contract opportunities
  • Manage vendor registration
  • Share updates about purchasing needs

You can use BuyNet to:

  • Register as a vendor to be eligible for County contracts
  • See current and upcoming solicitations for goods and services
  • Download bid documents and submit proposals
  • Track the status of bids and awards
  • Get notifications about new opportunities that match your business

You will need BuyNet to stay informed and compete for County business. When you register on BuyNet, you can choose codes for specific products and services that match what your business offers. BuyNet automatically sends you email alerts when new solicitations match your business.

Search contracts

Looking at current contracts can help you understand how to answer solicitations. By reviewing current contracts, you can view the terms, pricing, and scope of services prior to responding to an open solicitation, giving you a competitive edge in the procurement process.

Check the Procurement Forecast

The Procurement Forecast helps you prepare by showing:

  • What we expect to buy in the next 6 months
  • Estimated timelines
  • Current contract numbers. Search contracts to see the existing contracts and understand the terms, pricing and scope of services.

See if your business qualifies for special programs

The County is committed to supporting a diverse supplier base. We offer several programs to help:

  • Small businesses
  • Veteran-owned businesses
  • Nonprofit organizations
  • Organizations that address economic, social, and environmental disparities

These groups get advantages when competing for County business. See definitions and learn more at Contracting programs for small-local, veteran, nonprofit and other organizations.

Construction bids for public works projects

Contractors interested in bidding on public works projects must be pre-qualified. The County publishes the prequalification on BuyNet each quarter. We place qualified contractors on the prequalified list for 12 months.
