Regional focus
The workgroup guides equitable approaches for the development and implementation of climate policies, projects, programs, and initiatives across the San Diego region. The workgroup includes individuals and organizations representing diverse geographic and demographic perspectives. It includes a broad range of voices with residents, tribal members, community-based organizations, academics and researchers, and youth.
This workgroup specifically focuses on environmental justice and sustainability efforts with communities, especially with people who have lived experiences and are often left out of decision-making that directly affects their lives.
Meetings and membership
The 21-member workgroup meets monthly except in July and December. Members serve two- or three-year terms.
The membership application period is now closed. We will reopen member recruitment beginning in July through August 2026. For more information about becoming a member, please contact us at osej@sdcounty.ca.org.
