Group Program Manager
Roberta Leash is the Tribal Liaison for the County and provides a vital connection between the County and 18 Tribal Nations represented by 17 Tribal Governments and uplifts local tribal priorities in regional efforts.
Roberta has more than six years of tribal government experience working with her tribe, Cahuilla, and has private sector experience as a small coffeeshop business owner for the last eight years. As Tribal Council Secretary for Cahuilla, she cultivated linkages between tribal, local, state, and federal organizations to safeguard the health, comfort, and security of all members. Roberta has a BS in Political Science from Fort Lewis College (Colorado), with a focus in Native American Indigenous Studies.
Her biggest driver in this work is to support healing for all peoples, their relationships with government, relationships with their histories, and to support personal connection with the earth. She is passionate about building platforms for traditional knowledge holders to lead the way for our children’s children.
Outside of “work”, Roberta enjoys outdoors and sport activities with her children and nieces and nephews. Engaging with youth and elders is her jam!
