Our lens
Building on science-based research and communities’ voice priorities, the RDF is the Office of Sustainability and Environmental Justice’s lens for all our work: co-creating and facilitating actions that prioritize community well-being, health, and long-term vitality.
Each of our initiatives under the RDF is an opportunity to accelerate lasting change alongside community-based organizations, County departments, other jurisdictions, Tribal nations, businesses, and residents.
Working together, we can advance shared goals across energy, materials, food, and natural systems in ways that best respond to the climate emergency.

Foundational Publications
Between 2021 and 2023, three foundational publications for the RDF were developed in partnership with more than 2,000 community members, academic researchers, and regional interest-holders. These documents offer a shared starting point for future climate action across the region.
