All County departments and offices have sustainability plans to identify and implement practical, safe, clean, and greenhouse gas emissions-free programs and operations. Each plan: 

  • assesses existing sustainability practices; 
  • identifies new opportunities in all aspects of internal and external facing operations, existing policies, programs, and practices; 
  • creates comprehensive strategies to achieve sustainability; and 
  • includes environmental justice components applicable to their work and with the Office of Equity and Racial Justice (OERJ) 

Sustainability reports

Office of Sustainability and Environmental Justice works with each of the County’s 43 departments to incorporate sustainability into operational budgets and develop sustainability plans.
