About

All County departments maintain and regularly update sustainability plans to:

• Assess existing programs, operations, and procurement practices with sustainability in mind
• Determine new opportunities for integrating emerging best practices and innovative solutions
• Fulfill commitments and track progress along the way

Departmental sustainability commitments include considerations for equity and environmental justice. The Office of Sustainability & Environmental Justice and the Office of Equity & Racial Justice (OERJ) provide resources to departments to help with implementation and improve results.
