The Office of Sustainability and Environmental Justice (OSEJ) leads regional efforts to improve the health of our homes, neighborhoods, and selves through environmental justice activities.

Envisioning a San Diego region that is trhving and resilient, where we are in harmony with the environment, and community is celebrated and dedicated to the benefit of all.

Our Work

OSEJ is the San Diego region's central space to bring together community, local public agency, and regional environmental and climate justice priorities, work, and goals. We work to collectively achieve zero carbon emissions through our activities by:

Supporting the County's organization-wide efforts to identify and implement sustainability actions
Elevating existing and co-creating new regional initiatives
Building bridges between geographics, programs, and people
Uplifting regional and community values
Supporting tangible sustainability outcomes through efforts that address environmental justice
