Development and Construction Team
The Development and Construction Team provides guidance to the County’s Land Development reviewers for compliance with the development planning requirements related to retention, re-use and biofiltration for Priority Development Projects (PDP). In May 2013, the California Regional Water Quality Control Board San Diego Region reissued a municipal storm water permit under Order No. R9-2013-0001 to the municipal Copermittees translating into rigid requirements to implement structural BMP’s on each PDP.
As a result, the Development and Construction Team has created guidance for the development community. This Team also inspects permanent Structural Best Management Practices (BMPs) for the life of a property after construction and ensures the appropriate guarantees are in place during development. The Team is also a resource for County inspectors that conduct stormwater construction inspections, provides stormwater training, recommendations and guidelines for PDP’s and Non-PDP’s with the goal of minimizing the impacts to receiving waters.
