However, each Family Resource Center location will continue to provide full services outside all our Family Resource Center locations. You can also access services through our website and the Access Customer Service Call Center.
Here’s how you can get access to services:

2. Customers can send documents electronically using LaterDocs at: www.sandiegocounty.gov then search for LaterDocs

Self Sufficiency is the branch of the Health and Human Services Agency that provides social welfare services to citizens in need. These services include, but are not limited to: cash, food assistance, employment services and medical needs. There are a variety of programs available for persons both with and without minor children.
The service areas and services for this program are listed below. Click on any icon for more information.
Access Customer Service Center
The Access Customer Service Call Center is an extension of the County of San Diego Family Resource Centers (FRCs). Access customer service representatives are experienced eligibility workers who are trained in CalWORKs, CalFresh, and Medi-Cal programs.
CalFresh
CalFresh is also known as the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). CalFresh is a program for low-income families and individuals that meet certain income guidelines. CalFresh benefits help supplement your food budget and allow families and individuals to buy nutritious food.
CalWORKs
CalWORKs provides temporary cash assistance to eligible families with minor children and assists them gain self-sufficiency through employment services.
Cash Assistance Program for Immigrants (CAPI)
CAPI is a cash assistance program for certain immigrants who are not eligible for the federally funded Supplemental Security Income/State Supplementary Payment (SSI/SSP) program.
County Medical Services (CMS)
CMS is a program of last resort for eligible adults that covers only necessary medical services. CMS is not health insurance, but it uses a network of Community Health Centers, private physicians and local hospitals to provide medical services.
General Relief (GR)
GR provides temporary cash assistance for eligible county residents who have no other means of support.
Health Care Options
Health Care Options is a program to inform people on Medi-Cal about their health care choices and health plan options.
Medi-Cal Program
Medi-Cal pays for many health care services, including some dental services, for certain residents of California.
Social Services Advisory Board (SSAB)
Information on the social services advisory board, meeting minutes and agendas.
Appeals and Fraud Prevention
Information on self-sufficiency program appeals and fraud prevention.
