Access to Independence

 

Access to Independence helps people with disabilities live on their own and be a part of their community.  The organization offers many different services to help people be independent and in control of their lives. These services include:

  • Transition: Helping people move from a hospital or care facility back to their own home.

  • Diversion: Helping people stay out of nursing homes by finding ways to live safely at home.

  • Peer Support: Connecting people with others who can share and give advice. 

  • Personal Assistance: Helping with daily tasks like getting dressed, cooking, or cleaning.

  • Advocacy: Being a voice for people to make sure they get the support they need.

  • Information and Referral: Giving people information about services that can help them.

The services are free for people of any age with any kind of disability.
