Ethics, Compliance, and Labor Standards

The Office of Ethics, Compliance, and Labor Standards (OECLS) consists of two offices. We investigate allegations of improper County government activity and serve as a resource for workers and employers to ensure a fair and safe workplace.

The Office of Labor Standards and Enforcement (OLSE) serves as a resource for workers and employers by providing information on employment laws, addressing local labor concerns, and strengthening workplace standards through education, policy development, and enforcement.

The Office of Ethics and Compliance (OEC) investigates allegations of improper County government activity, including fraud, waste, abuse, and discrimination involving County employees and programs. OEC works to promote accountability, integrity, and public trust in County operations.
