Initial Study Research Report
The Initial Study Research Report is an online tool to obtain preliminary parcel development & environmental information for properties located within unincorporated San Diego County. The report also includes detailed property maps, General Plan and Zoning Information. Help guide available.

The Property Summary Report includes general property characteristics to aid in preparing plans and documentation for the submittal of a building permit application. Housing Production & Capacity Portal
The Housing Production & Capacity Portal tracks the dwelling unit capacity and reports out results for each community planning area and unincorporated area. There is an Interactive Map to explore areas with remaining General Plan housing capacity in the unincorporated areas. Zoom in on a specific area or enter an address to see the Portal results. First submittal of plans and application for Residential Minor Grading, Minor Grading, or Major Grading projects. Please ensure that all required submittal items are with your package at drop off.

Code Compliance Appointment Types
- Field Initiated Complaint (FICO) stamps
Obtain the necessary approvals from a PDS Code Compliance Officer. They must review and stamp plans prior to submittal to the Building Division for plan check as well as prior to issuance of a building permit to correct the violation.

Follow up with Code Compliance staff regarding a specific
case
Due to the number of field-work inspections, it is highly recommended that you set up an in-office appointment to meet with the assigned Code Compliance officer and discuss specific issues about the case.
