HACSD closed its waitlist for the Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8), Project Based Vouchers, Public Housing, Moderate Rehabilitation and Housing Opportunities for People with AIDS (HOPWA) TBRA programs to new applicants.

HACSD understands the critical need for affordable housing in our community, especially for the tens of thousands of families who are waiting for assistance. Unfortunately, the demand for rental assistance is much greater than the funding we receive from the federal government and due to the current and projected funding levels, HACSD will not be able to select new applicants from the Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) waitlist for the next several years.

All applicants currently on a waitlist may access their information through the RentCafe Portal.
