Federal Advocacy
In 2025, EDGA engaged federal agencies and lawmakers to advocate for our County's interests amid funding uncertainty. We sent 15 federal action letters urging action to protect and support:
- Safety net programs such as CalFresh and Medi-Cal
- Tijuana River Valley sewage crisis solutions
- Improved regional firefighting capabilities
- Services for homeless veterans
