Citizens' Law Enforcement Review Board
Our Mission: To increase public confidence in and accountability of peace officers employed by the Sheriff’s Department or the Probation Department by conducting independent, thorough, timely, and impartial reviews of Complaints of misconduct and deaths and other specified incidents arising out of or in connection with actions of peace officers.
CLERB offices are closed to the public following Governor Newsom’s order to stay at home during the COVID-19 Pandemic. You can still file a complaint by mail after completing the following forms https://www.sandiegocounty.gov/content/sdc/clerb/complaints.html or you can scan the forms and e-mail them to us at clerbcomplaints@sdcounty.ca.gov. Our office number is 619-238-6776, please feel free to leave a detailed message and we will contact you as soon as possible.

Second Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m.

The Citizens’ Law Enforcement Review Board will allow the public to participate in its meetings via the BlueJeans Platform instead of attending in person.

Step 1: Complete the CLERB online Request to Speak Form.

Step 2: Watch the meeting (recommended browsers - Chrome,
Safari, Firefox and Edge).

Step 3: The Review Board Chair will ask if there are members
of the public that wish to address the Board. This is agenda
item number 2. At this time click the hand icon to notify
staff of your request to address the Review Board.

Step 4: Staff will accept the request and you will receive a
notification asking if you would like to interact with the Review
Board.

Step 5: Accept the invitation, state your name, and address
the Review Board for a maximum of three minutes.
- Step 6: You will be moved back to a non-participating role in the meeting.
