County Policies

The CLEAR Ordinance (Civil Liberties Enforcement and Accountability Rules), adopted in January 2026, ensures accountability and protects civil liberties in County facilities, particularly regarding Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) interactions.

Alongside Board Policy L-2: Cooperation with U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement, these protections help ensure County spaces remain safe and welcoming  for both employees and the public while also complying with all legal requirements and responsibilities.
