Information Technology Services
This division provides a number of services to HHSA, and to the County. Historically, the Agency’s Information Technology office served primarily as an administrative hub between staff, the County’s Technology Office, and the County’s contracted technology provider.
In 2013, the customer service span broadened to include more strategic and functional components to help make the most of today’s technologies. Now, in addition to hardware and software, the Technology, Information, and Knowledge Integration office, or the more user-friendly “TIKI,” is exploring ways to streamline and improve how information is shared among staff and the public. The goal is to make is easier for staff to provide excellent service, and to provide management with up-to-the-minute data for informed decision making.
One significant effort underway is the Knowledge Integration Program, which is building an electronic information exchange system to help support the person-centered service delivery vision of Live Well San Diego.
