The South Region Live Well Center at Chula Vista provides services to the community from various county programs. Below are the services offered:
- South Region Administration: Manages social services and public health programs. Barbara Jiménez serves as Director of Regional Operations for Central and South Regions and oversees Child Welfare Services, Family Resource Centers, Community Health Promotion, Homeless Services and Public Health Centers in both of those regions, as well as, other administrative functions.
- Family Resource Center (FRC): Provides self-sufficiency services and eligibility determinations for State and County funded programs like CalWORKs, CalFresh, Cash Assistance for Immigrants (CAPI), Refuge e Cash Assistance, Medi-Cal and General Relief.
- Public Health Center (PHC): Provides preventative health services including nurse home visitation programs.
- Public Consulting Group: Contracted with Health and Human Services Agency to provide CalWORKs & Refugee Employment Services Case Management services in South, Central and East Regions. For more information, please call: 619-270-4100.
