Medi-Cal and CalAIM in San Diego County

Statistics and Data Resources

Medi-Cal (Medicaid for California) offers free or low-cost health coverage for people who qualify. Medi-Cal provides a wide range of health services, which may be accessed as medically necessary.

The Medi-Cal Dental Program (formerly known as Denti-Cal) is the part of Medi-Cal that covers a range of essential dental services.

California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal (CalAIM) is transforming Medi-Cal to create a more coordinated, person-centered, and equitable health system. Medi-Cal members have access to new and improved services to receive care that goes beyond the doctor’s office or hospital and addresses physical, behavioral health, and social care needs.

The dashboards and data-related resources below provide information about San Diego County’s Medi-Cal population, enrollment, and use of services available through CalAIM and Medi-Cal Dental programs.
