The County offers employees a choice of medical plans because your health is important. The following medical plans are available:

HMO Plans ( Comparison Chart )

• Kaiser Permanente HMO Plans (Traditional and Everyday Care)
• SIMNSA Mexico HMO
• UnitedHealthcare HMO Plans (CS VEBA Performance and CS VEBA Alliance)

PPO and High Deductible Health Plans ( Comparison Chart )

• UnitedHealthcare/UMR Select Plus PPO
• Kaiser Permanente High Deductible Health Plan
• UnitedHealthcare Harmony High Deductible Health Plan

Designation of UnitedHealthcare Primary Care Physician 

If you are newly enrolled in a UnitedHealthcare HMO or HDHP plan, you will be automatically assigned to a Primary Care Physician (PCP) based on your zip code. 

If you would like to designate a preferred PCP, please contact UHC between December 18th and December 31st, 2025.
