Community Action Board (CAB)

CAB members are volunteers who meet in person monthly and
participate in providing oversight and governance of Community
Action Partnership (CAP) San Diego, submitting recommendations to
the Board of Supervisors. Responsibilities include:
- Providing input on the development, planning, performing, and evaluation of Community Services Block Grant (CSBG)-funded programs
- Ensuring CAP follows organizational, fiscal, and program policies
- Providing input on overall program plans and priorities

Furthermore, CAB members ensure CAP’s compliance with the CSBG
Organizational Standards through:
- Participating in strategic planning and the community needs assessment;
- Receiving strategic, organizational, and programmatic updates;
- Receiving financial audit reports;
- Participating in the CSBG budget process, as allowed by County of San Diego procedures; and
- Reviewing CAP’s mission statement.
