County Legislative Advocacy
We work with state and federal lawmakers throughout the year to advocate for the County's needs.
The Legislative Program is the County of San Diego's policy platform. This document identifies the Board's priority issues for supporting our region and improving County operations.
We use the Legislative Program to guide our advocacy work with state and federal lawmakers to:
- Sponsor bills
- Request amendments to bills
- Issue letters of support or opposition
- Make budget requests
Each year, we update the Legislative Program to reflect feedback from community members, local groups, and County departments.
