Tijuana River Valley Sewage Crisis Environmental Dashboard

In collaboration with Resilient Shield, led by the University of California San Diego (UCSD), this interactive dashboard combines environmental data sources to provide a full picture of the Tijuana River Valley sewage crisis. This includes data on hydrogen sulfide, beach closure, and smell complaints.

  • How to use this dashboard
    • Select one or more categories at the top of the dashboard (such as Beach Water Quality, Hydrogen Sulfide Levels, Smell Complaints, Wastewater Spills, and River Basin) to show current/recent data on the map. 
      • Click on one of the icons that appear on the map for information on location, measurement, and description.  
    • Expand, or collapse, additional information on the left side of the dashboard, including: What We Know, What We're Doing, What You Can Do, Hydrogen Sulfide, Beach Closures, Smell Complaints, and Public Health Data. 
    • Zoom in, or out, of the map by hovering your mouse over the map and then using your mouse scroll.
    • Click and hold your mouse while dragging the map to view different areas.
