Required Insurance Monitoring for HHSA Contractors
HHSA Agency Contract Support (ACS) has retained EBIX to monitor and validate insurance coverage requirements contained in HHSA contracts. EBIX communicates directly with HHSA contractors to obtain any needed certificates of insurance and other needed documents, and provides various options for submitting required information.
A profile for each HHSA contractor is created in EBIX by ACS, the profile includes the contractor contact information and all insurance requirements for every HHSA contract administered for monitoring purposes, as required within the contract (Exhibit B). If the contractor has multiple contracts with HHSA, the contract(s) with the highest requirements will be added to the contractor’s profile. Any deficiencies or additional documentation required from the HHSA contractor, EBIX will notify contractor with three separate email correspondence requests. After the third correspondence, HHSA Contracting Officer Representatives will contact the contractor to request missing documents or additional information needed.

REQUIRED: Additional Insured Endorsement and Waiver of Subrogation with each Certificate of Insurance (COI)
An Additional Insured Endorsement and a Waiver of Subrogation are required with all Certificates, and they must include the following Language applying coverage to: "The County of San Diego, the members of the Board of Supervisors of the County and the officers, agents, employees and volunteers of the County, individually and collectively".
