The Fiscal Review unit has the lead for the investigation of allegations regarding contract compliance and ethical issues relating to HHSA contracts.

Allegations are accepted from any source, including anonymous sources. Agency Contract Support (ACS) reviews all allegations and determines if the matter is related to contract compliance issues, and either initiates an investigation or refers it to the appropriate county department/organization for further action.

Once an allegation is accepted, standard procedures for reviewing allegations may include interviews with clients and staff, client case file reviews, and analysis's of contractors' policies, procedures, and administrative systems. At the conclusion of the review, a report detailing any findings regarding the allegations, and any necessary corrective actions, is issued to the contractor, with a copy to responsible county staff.
