Help promote Lead Poisoning Prevention Week.
Lead can make it hard for kids to learn and pay attention. Foods high in calcium, iron and vitamin C can help limit the amount of lead absorbed into the body.
Offer a variety of healthy foods to protect your child from the effects of lead, like:
- Yogurt or oatmeal with fruit
- Nut butter on whole wheat toast
- Chicken, veggies and lentils
If you need food support, call 2-1-1 for resources near you.
