One Health Epidemiology Program
The One Health Epidemiology Program (OHEP) is dedicated to the surveillance, investigation, response, and prevention of zoonotic disease outbreaks in San Diego County.
Some zoonotic diseases in people have historically been reportable to the San Diego County Epidemiology Unit. OHEP team efforts will enhance current investigation and response protocols to include additional diseases as well as diseases in animals.
This program is part of the Epidemiology and Immunization Services Branch (EISB) of the Public Health Services (PHS) department, of the County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA).
