2027 Plan Rates (Per Pay Period)
The County of San Diego provides employees with a benefits allowance, called Flex Credits, that you can use toward eligible benefit elections. To see the Flex Credit amount available to each job classification, go to the Summary of Benefits.

The Flex Credit amount is based on your medical coverage level. Flex Credits and premiums amounts are per pay period based on 24 pay periods in the year/twice-a-month deductions.

No cost benefits provided by the County are:
- Basic Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance determined by your job classification
- Dependent Life Insurance for $2,000 to coverage your spouse, domestic partner, and each dependent child, up to age 26.
- Employee Assistance Program available 24/7/365 for County employees and their household members.
