Ad Hoc Subcommittee on Juvenile Justice

This subcommittee looks at how the County can improve youth detention facilities and Probation operations. It works with the Council of Juvenile Justice Administrators, Probation, County staff, and other partners to identify concerns, review recommendations, and help develop steps for improvement.

The subcommittee also reviews and analyzes opportunities to improve policies, training, and practices. It sends quarterly memos to the Board of Supervisors and brings forward recommendations for Board approval when needed.

The subcommittee ends when it completes all assigned work.
