County Service Area 26B (CSA 26B)

CSA 26B - Monte Vista is a County Service Area that provides landscape maintenance services for residents in the unincorporated community of Rancho San Diego in east San Diego County. Formed in 1985, CSA 26B was established to maintain landscaped common areas and related improvements in order to preserve the appearance and environmental quality of the community.

 

Overview

County Service Area 26B (CSA 26B) is a special district established by the County of San Diego to provide landscape maintenance services within a defined area of unincorporated San Diego County. The CSA allows property owners within the district to fund and receive services that maintain shared landscaped areas for the benefit of the community. 

 

Formation and Governance

CSA 26B was formed by action of the San Diego County Board of Supervisors pursuant to California law. The district is governed by the Board of Supervisors and administered by the County of San Diego in accordance with its formation documents and adopted ordinances.

Services Provided

CSA 26B provides landscape maintenance services within the district, including maintenance of:

  • Landscaped medians
  • Landscaped slopes
  • Parkway and common landscaped areas

Maintenance activities are limited to those authorized by the CSA’s formation and governing documents and focus on preserving the condition, appearance, and functionality of landscaped improvements. 

 

Funding

Services provided by CSA 26B are funded through assessments levied on properties within the district. Assessment revenues are used solely to pay for the cost of providing authorized services and are administered in accordance with applicable laws and County procedures.
