Want to learn more about protecting yourself from mosquito bites and mosquito-borne illness?
Join the County of San Diego for the Vector Control Program open house from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. The event will be being held at the County Operations Center plaza, located at 5520 Overland Avenue in San Diego.
County Vector Control program experts will exhibit what they do regularly to prevent mosquito-related diseases, such as West Nile and dengue virus. The event will showcase interactive displays featuring mosquito control equipment, laboratory techniques, and live mosquitofish, and mosquito larvae.
Other County departments including Public Health, Parks and Recreation, Agriculture, Weights & Measures, and LiveWell San Diego will also be sharing information at the event.
