FOR REPUBLIC SERVICES CUSTOMERS ONLY

Republic Services is offering FREE COMPOST to all their customers on Saturday, September 12 from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Otay Sustainability Park (1700 Maxwell Rd., Chula Vista, CA 91911). It’s the perfect time to get your farms and gardens ready for the fall season! Come prepared with your shovels, tarps, containers, and other equipment to pick up as much compost as you’d like.

All Republic customers living in the City of Chula Vista, City of San Diego, and County of San Diego are welcome! To participate, please provide proof of active Republic account ownership in the form of an invoice or online app documentation, as well as a photo ID.

Please join us for the Unincorporated San Diego Residential Cleanup Event at the Julian Library (1850 CA-78, Julian, CA 92036) on  Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. or until capacity is reached.  The event will also include free mulch for takeaway and paper shredding.

ACCEPTED: Bulky items. Furniture. Electronic waste. Broken appliances. Water heaters. Recyclable materials. Organic green waste. Mattresses and box springs. Scrap metal. Tires (up to 9 passenger tires per vehicle)*.

*Please call 1-877-713-2784 to request preapproval for loads of more than 9 tires. No tires with rims will be accepted. No tires from businesses.

NOT ACCEPTED: Construction materials and business waste. Household Hazardous Waste: This includes, but is not limited to, batteries, paint, lightbulbs, car oil/antifreeze and household cleaners.

This event is open to Unincorporated County of San Diego residents only.

Pro Tip: Lines are longest in the first hour.
