Green Infrastructure elements include:
1,000 gallons of trash removed from local waterways per year!
An underground full trash capture device was installed under Goldentop Road to remove trash and debris from stormwater runoff before it enters the storm drain system, which discharges to the San Dieguito River and ultimately the Pacific Ocean.
Natural solutions remove pollutants from stormwater runoff
Proprietary biofiltration systems are manufactured green infrastructure systems that use specialized filter media to remove pollutants from stormwater, mimicking the natural cleaning process found in nature.

The County of San Diego is proud to implement projects like this to improve water quality, support sustainability, and enhance our local communities.
