Riverside Drive Channel Restoration Project

Water Quality Project | Completed 2019

Line

This project replaced a concrete channel with a rock-lined channel that helps low-flow runoff soak into the ground.

Riverside_Before

Before This Project

  • An outdated concrete-lined channel carried stormwater runoff through the storm drain system.
  • Runoff could not soak into the ground, limiting infiltration and treatment.
Riverside_After

After This Project

  • A rock-lined channel allows low-flow runoff to soak into the ground.
  • This reduces pollution entering the storm drain system and helps minimize flood risk.
