San Dieguito EMS District - County Service Area 17
The County EMS Office administers the San Dieguito EMS District (also known as County Service Area 17 or CSA 17), which provides emergency ambulance services. CSA 17 was established in 1969 to provide public ambulance transport, and in 1975, it started delivering paramedic-level emergency services within the approximately 73-square-mile district.

CSA 69 Archives
- Effective January 1, 2023, emergency ambulance services for the Santee-Lakeside region have transitioned to the newly-formed Santee-Lakeside EMS Authority.
- For the former CSA 69 (Lakeside and Santee) ambulance billing and medical records inquiries, please call Digitech at 800-901-9122. Medical record requests can also be sent to the transporting agency: Lakeside Fire Protection District or Santee Fire Department
- Effective January 1, 2023, emergency ambulance services for the Santee-Lakeside region have transitioned to the newly-formed Santee-Lakeside EMS Authority.
