Borrego Military Landing Zone Brushing and Clearing Permit

The proposed Borrego Temporary Military Landing Zone project (Project) is an Administrative Permit (AD) for Brushing and Clearing to correct a violation resulting in disturbance of 17.07 acres of land area. The cleared area would be utilized by Sky Dive Perris to operate a skydiving landing zone for parachutist training with an average of eight landings per training day and ten to twelve parachutists in each landing. The landing activities are defined as a Public Passive Park/ Recreational Area, which falls under the Essential Services use type as defined by the County of San Diego Zoning Ordinance. The project site is subject to Rural Residential (RR) zoning use regulations, which allows for Essential Services as a by-right use type. The proposed project requires an Administrative Permit for Brushing and Clearing to correct the violation incurred through the unpermitted disturbance of 17.07 acres of land area.
