Pesticide Complaints

To report a non-emergency pesticide incident or concern, please contact the Pesticide Regulation Program at PRP.AWM@SDCounty.ca.gov or call (858) 694-8980 so that an inspector can help as efficiently as possible.

If you are currently experiencing a pesticide-related emergency such as being exposed to pesticide spray or drift and having serious health problems like difficulty breathing, please call 911 for help.

What details will help PRP investigate your report?

  • The address or location of the incident.
  • The date and time of the incident.
  • If you or anyone else experienced any physical or other symptoms.
  • A brief description of the incident, including what you saw, smelled, or felt.
  • The name of the pesticide, if available.

Sharing your contact info (name, phone, or email) is not required but helps our investigation. Completion times vary, and you have a right to a copy of the final report.

For more on reporting pesticide concerns, please visit the California Department of Pesticide Regulation or see this factsheet on reporting pesticide incidents, illness, or concerns.
